Trashy Art

What should you do with your trash?  Recycle? No!  Landfill? No way!  Glue to a large piece of plywood, paint it white and hang it on the wall?  Hell yes!

My shop is a shit show after remodeling my basement and building my deck.  See pics below of the aforementioned shop (fyi – this is also an indication of the shit show inside my head which desperately needs a clearing out as well.)

Look at that big ol’ beautiful bandsaw that I have nowhere to set up and that planer (I finally have a planer again!) still in the box.  I need space but what I have is lots of scrappy trashy wood everywhere that I need to re-up-cycle.  So, I am not-so-methodically making things out of this trash until I work my way out from under the heap and create room for the new tools.

Up first is a piece of “art” for the living room wall.  Jewelry is the inspiration, insanity the provocation.

What do you think? Still trash or more “art”?  Are you inspired to now glue shit to a board?  Up next, maybe cedar shingle underwear?
